The City of Rancho Cordova’s Community Enhancement & Investment Fund supports a variety of projects and programs from public safety to public works, to legacy projects, to community-based and grassroots programs and initiatives.

Grants

The city provides grants to individuals, organizations, businesses, and community partners who are interested in enhancing the Rancho Cordova community through arts, culture, history, entertainment and sports; education; and other projects. Grants are made annually and traditionally open in February. Sign up on our email list to receive information on future grant opportunities. Please note that projects/programs involving art, or the Rancho Cordova Youth Center, will have separate application periods as funds are available.

Funding

The Community Enhancement & Investment Fund is funded by Measures H and R, ½ cent local sales tax measures approved by Rancho Cordova voters respectively in November 2014 and 2020. Of the estimated $11.7 million in projected annual revenue from the Measure H sales tax, the city anticipates awarding about 25% towards community grants in Fiscal Year 2025/2026. The actual budget may vary based on final approved funding allocations.

About the Request for Proposals & the Rancho Cordova Youth Center

The City of Rancho Cordova announces its Request for Proposals (RFP) from interested vendors for the procurement of youth services programming for the Rancho Cordova Youth Center (RCYC) for services for August 2026 – June 2027.

The City is committed to the youth of Rancho Cordova and in February 2023 opened the first youth center in Rancho Cordova located at 10455 Investment Circle, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670. The RCYC is operated by the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Sacramento and Rancho Cordova P.A.L. (Police Activities League) as an after-school program during the school year and an extended day program during the summer. The facility is serving youth and teens ages 6 - 17 years old.

Along with the operators of the facility, Boys and Girls Club of Greater Sacramento and Rancho Cordova P.A.L., the City is dedicated to fostering the youth of Rancho Cordova by providing program opportunities at the RCYC by additional interested vendors.

What our youth and parents are saying about the RCYC

“The Youth Center is all about just learning and having fun at the same time” - RCYC youth

“Rancho Cordova Youth Center means a lot to us because it gives [my daughter] something to do when she’s out of school because she always says she’s bored” - Laurie Jones, parent

What our past enrichment providers are saying about the RCYC

“This is the first year I’m partnering with the youth center. It’s so exciting to see the kids build a plane and then when they go to the airfield and fly their own plane, [you see the excitement] in their eyes, is something that is…amazing.” - Ashwin Thirunahari, Director, Falkon Academy
